GETTING STARTED. Your Murney agent will be an asset to you as you determine the criteria you’re looking for in a new home. In your first consultation, you and your agent can discuss square footage, neighborhoods, schools, price range, and more.
FINDING LISTINGS. Your Murney Agent will help set up client portals and search assistants on our local MLS and Murney.com. This will allow you and your agent to outline specific criteria that will result in a detailed collection of listings tailor-made just for you! You can also opt to receive daily “property alerts” indicating new homes on the market, reduced prices, under contract, and open houses.
FINDING A LENDER. Your Murney Agent’s expertise and access to our comprehensive financial network can help you find a lender that fits your needs. Your new lender can answer all of your questions regarding closing costs, down payments, types of loans, PMI insurance, and mortgage payments.
VISITING HOMES. When you have a list of homes you would like to see, your Murney Agent will set up showings and take you to see each home.
MAKING AN OFFER. When you have found the perfect home, it is time to make an offer. Your Murney Agent will meet with you to write an offer and will then present it to the seller’s agent. After the seller has accepted the offer, you will need to complete your loan application, home inspections, and begin to negotiate repairs. Closing is just around the corner.
CLOSING DAY. You and your Murney Agent will take one last walk through the home to make sure any and all repairs have been made and that your new home is in the same condition as when you first wrote your offer. Your Murney Agent will meet you at the closing company and sit with you through the closing process, then present your new home keys to you!
